Rajinikanth's Kabali might be prepping up for July 22 release world-wide, but the Telugu producers are battling many odds to see the film light of its day in Telugu as the Telugu producer of Rajini's Kochadaiyaan wants his dues to be paid before the release of Kabali. It's common knowledge that Rajini's Kochadaiyaan directed by his daughter Soundarya and co-produced by Rajini's wife Latha Rajinikanth turned out to be a dud and bitten the dust in no time bringing hefty losses to its buyers.
B Subramanyam, of Lakshmi Ganapathi films, had brought the Telugu theatrical rights and he lost a chunk of his money with the film. As per the understanding or previous commitment, Rajini apparently agreed to pay Rs 12 Crore for him. But it's reported that Rajini hasn't cleared that amount yet.
Now that Kabali is due for release, Subramanyam is said to be bringing up the issue and mounting pressure on Rajini's camp. The settlement is said to be going on. Ace director Dasari Narayana Rao is apparently overseeing the whole matter and settlement is happening in his house in the interest of both parties.
It's learnt that the talks may be fruitful as Dasari stepped in and may soon come to a logical conclusion. Sources in the know say that a truce would be done in another two days. Let's hope everything will be settled and Kabali would release on time as per plan.
